Overview

When building an election, you will be asked to provide the following values:

FieldDescription
TitleThis is the name/title of your election. (example: 2016 United States Presidential Election, or 2016 Board of Directors Election)
DescriptionThe election description field allows you to provide more detailed information about the election.
Start DateThis is the date/time that your election will start. The time can be set in 15 minute intervals (example: 5:00pm, 5:15pm, 5:30pm, 5:45pm).
End DateThis is the date/time that voting will close.
TimezoneThis is the timezone that your election’s date/time will be based on. If you set the timezone as US/Central and your election is set to end at 12:00pm, then your elections will end at 12:00pm central regardless of the location of your voter(s).

All elections are assigned a designated and unique URL that will act as the election’s landing page. However, voters will only be able to access the election once it has been launched. There are multiple ways for voters to access an election, which we will cover later on in this guide.
