To maintain the integrity of the election, a ballot cannot be modified after the election has been launched (see: Election States). The launch process consists of multiple steps where the election administrator has to confirm that the ballot is mistake free (step 2) and confirm that its understood that the following actions are not permitted:

  • Add, Edit, or Delete Questions
  • Add, Edit, or Delete Question Options
  • Change the election start date

If changes have to be made to the ballot, then the election administrator will have to close the election (see: How to Close an Election), recreate it (see: How to Duplicate an Election), make the necessary changes to the ballot, and go through the launch process again (see: How to Launch an Election). There are no refunds given for elections launched with user errors.
